9-18-02 Show # 66

The “Long Strange Trip” show

Tonight’s show featured an hour long interview with Dennis McNally,
longtime publicist and historian for The Grateful Dead.
Dennis’ new book, A Long Strange Trip, out in bookstores now,
was the topic of the conversation.
Let’s just say that an hour wasn’t near enough time to capture
all the material stored away in archival-like mind of Dennis McNally.
So, if you live here in the Portland, Maine area, and found that we left something out,
you can ask Dennis yourself any questions that may still remain.
Dennis will be appearing at Longfellow Books, in Monument Square in downtown Portland,
on Friday, September 20th, at 5:00 PM.
A Band Beyond Description” (a local Dead cover band) will be playing acoustic music
outside on the cobblestone walkway, and at 5:30 Dennis will be doing a reading from the book.
At 6:00 PM Dennis resumes signing books and answering questions, up until approximately 7:30 PM.
Then, later on that night, down at The Alehouse, at 30 Market Street in the Old Port,
Dennis will be signing more copies, shortly before “The Ordinary Way” takes the stage.
So if you’d like to say hello to Dennis, and have your copy of the book signed … come on down !!!

Oh, and before I forget … Happy Birthday, Spud.
