8-05-03 Show # 99

The “Grateful for the Garciafest” show

I would be greatly remiss if I were to not take a second to once again thank all of the folks who help present

the wildly successful and ridiculously fun 2nd annual Mainely Dead “Garciafest”.

In particular I would like to thank once again the staff here at WMPG who did far beyond an unbelievable job …

smoothly pulling off all of the logistical elements to the event during inclement weather …

without missing nary a beat … … I would venture to say that there is not a more dedicated and trustworthy

staff than ours here at WMPG, Phil … my Kien Vernugen … Max, Celeste, Jamie, Danika, … and … Crazy Joe …

I hope you made it to the Phish show safely, The Portland Events Board, The University of Southern Maine,

Aaremark, John Bradford … who I embarrassingly forgot to mention on Friday night …

thank you John for your help and calm presence all day … … and …

all the folks who contributed the items that were raffled off, The Grateful Dead organization …

both Dennis McNally and David Lemieux in particular … … and … … most importantly … all of you …

the listeners who tuned in for the 26 hours, those of you who came down to the event in person …

and thank you to the many of you locally, nationally, and internationally who emailed us throughout providing your encouragement and joy.

And if I for some odd reason continue to forget to mention your name … please … know that it is not intentional …

it is just my brain … unable to process the past few months absolutely perfect.

So … until next year … thank you all for the second annual Garciafest … … I could not have done it without you.
